Senior Test and Instrumentation Engineer Location:Lindsay, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid) Employment Type:Full-time Salary Range:CAD 120,000 – 165,000 gross/yearAbout the Role We are seeking an experiencedSenior Test & Instrumentation Engineerto take ownership of engineering test facilities supporting the development and certification ofnext-generation electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft .This is a highly hands‑on, senior‑level role where you will design, build, operate, and evolve test systems and facilities in a fast‑moving engineering environment. Initially, you will act as the first dedicated test engineer, defining methodologies, tooling, and working principles. As the organization grows, this role is expected to evolve into atechnical leadership and people management position .Key ResponsibilitiesLead overall test development activities, including test coverage, maintenance, and safetyDefine and influence test strategy and support the growth of the test organizationDesign, build, and operate engineering test rigs and facilitiesPerform hardware integration, assembly, and testingOperate test equipment and lead troubleshooting and root cause analysisDevelop test systems using first‑principles and systems‑led engineering approachesCollaborate closely with engineering, program management, and certification teamsApply relevant aerospace standards and specifications to all test activitiesDrive continuous improvement in engineering quality, productivity, and delivery timelinesEnsure compliance with regulatory, quality, safety, and certification requirementsAct as a technical integrator between test, systems, and project teamsStay current with industry developments and emerging testing methodologiesContribute to process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliabilitySupport the future build‑out and leadership of the test engineering teamRequirements5+ years of experiencein systems engineering, test engineering, or instrumentation roles within aerospace or automotive environmentsHands‑on experience with systems development and/or hardware testingStrong understanding of engineering lifecycle activities from concept to certificationExperience working withARP4754, ARP4761 , and other relevant aerospace standardsFamiliarity witheVTOL certification frameworks(TCCA, FAA, EASA) is highly desirableAbility to work effectively in environments with evolving and changing requirementsStrong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skillsComfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamLeadership mindset with the potential to take on team management responsibilitiesWhats OfferedCompetitive salary packageNo fixed holiday capCompetitive group benefits planCompany stock purchase programHybrid work optionsOpportunity to work at the forefront of advanced aerospace and eVTOL development#J-18808-Ljbffr
