Ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and seeing their designs come to life in the field.ResponsibilitiesApply sound engineering judgement to thetechnical design and deliveryof municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure.Prepare and reviewengineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reportsin accordance with municipal and provincial standards.Support projects throughdetailed design and construction administration , ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.Conducttechnical analysis and calculationsfor civil systems, including water distribution, sanitary sewers, stormwater management, and roadworks.Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and specialists across regional and national teams to deliver integrated solutions.Contribute to field reviews, inspections, and coordination with contractors during construction.Support knowledge sharing and provide technical guidance to junior staff as part of a collaborative team environment.QualificationsDiploma or degree inCivil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology .Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or C.E.T. designation, or eligibility to obtain, is considered an asset.5–8 years of hands‑on technical experiencein municipal infrastructure design and delivery.Strong technical proficiency inwater supply, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and roadway design .Experience working withinManitoba’s municipal engineering environment , including applicable codes, standards, and regulations.Working knowledge of civil design software and tools used for municipal infrastructure projects.Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents with a high level of accuracy.Bilingual (French and English) communication skills are an asset.Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,900 – $118,900MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700Disclosure The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
