Position Summary The National Account Manager drives profitable growth by owning and executing strategic channel and key account initiatives across assigned national customers. This role blends hands‑on execution with proactive account management and cross‑functional leadership, partnering with customers, internal teams, and third‑party representatives to maximize performance, grow market share, and build long‑term relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow sales volume and market share within assigned channels and key accounts. Identify and pursue opportunities for channel expansion, innovation, and differentiated customer engagement. Create, implement, and manage annual key account business plans aligned with company objectives. Maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring clear, consistent cross‑functional communication within the organization. Act as a trusted consultant to customers and internal teams by providing industry insights, market research, and education. Manage sales forecasting and consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. Conduct internal and external business reviews to evaluate channel performance and recommend corrective actions as needed. Analyze market conditions, competitive trends, and distribution opportunities to inform strategy and execution. Manage and lead third‑party manufacturing representatives to ensure alignment and performance. Communicate project updates and performance metrics with a high level of accountability and urgency. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred. 3–5 years of progressive sales experience; strong preference for experience within a building products manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in strategic sales and business management with strong conceptual and analytical skills. Experience in progressively responsible sales roles with proven leadership capability. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Ability to analyze markets, sales data, and competitive trends to drive informed decisions. High sense of urgency, personal initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and follow‑through. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including frequent overnight travel. Preferred Qualifications Strong technical product knowledge within building materials or related industries. Experience managing independent reps or external sales agencies. Proven ability to influence without authority across cross‑functional teams.
