GES is responsible for delivery of all technology initiatives and services across TMX.Role Summary:The Platform Engineer is responsible for management and support of various container technologies in the infrastructure engineering team. The incumbent will design, build and maintain solutions based on business requirements and evaluation of information technology trends and practices.The engineer will require a broad skill set with excellent problem solving and analytical skills in addition to a strong programmatic, “Infrastructure as Code”, approach to systems and container management. The Impact of Your Role As aPlatform Engineerwithin Global Enterprise Services (GES), you will be at the heart of TMX Group’s digital evolution. GES is the foundational engine that powers our business lines through cutting-edge technology and operational excellence.You aren’t just managing servers; you are architecting the resilient, elastic, and secure container ecosystems that drive the global financial markets. You will bridge the gap between legacy stability and future-forward innovation, ensuring our infrastructure is as dynamic as the markets we support.What You Will DoArchitect & Orchestrate:Design and maintain a multi-cloud Kubernetes ecosystem (EKS, GKE, OpenShift, and Rancher) with a focus on high availability and cost-efficiency.Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Treat infrastructure like software. You will build, configure, and monitor environments across the SDLC using programmatic, repeatable methods.Modernize Networking:Implement and manage advanced architectures, including Service Mesh and loosely coupled designs, to ensure robust service discovery and security.CI/CD Leadership:Build and optimize automated pipelines for seamless integration and deployment, leveraging container registries to accelerate delivery.Strategic Collaboration:Partner with Security and Data Architects to develop bulletproof failover/failback strategies and data protection protocols.Innovation & Thought Leadership:Stay ahead of the curve.
