Hygiene Insurance Services Leader/ Project Manager Annual Salary Range - $90,000-$100,000 CAD Position: Intermediate Project Manager in Hygiene Services, reporting to the Regional Operations Manager Location Richmond Office, Richmond, BC V6V 2V4, CAN (Hybrid) Role Overview Pinchin’s Insurance Services Team will lead projects arising from insurance losses, applying technical hygiene expertise while navigating insurer requirements. The role thrives in fast‑paced environments, managing projects from start to finish, leading project teams, and delivering responsive, high‑quality service to insurance clients. Responsibilities Manage environmental projects including catastrophic events (CAT), from initial assessment through remediation and close‑out, ensuring timely and on‑budget delivery. Lead project execution, providing guidance to team members on insurance‑related work. Assist the Regional Insurance Leader in coordinating and overseeing insurance services projects across all disciplines. Serve as the primary contact for job setup, ATP/contracting issues, rates, templates, billing, and invoicing review. Manage client communication, prepare proposals and budgets, and supervise subcontractors and remediation activities. Provide direction and training to technologists and junior staff, ensuring adherence to insurance protocols and reviewing reports for accuracy. Maintain QA/QC standards and ensure all deliverables comply with provincial regulations and insurer requirements. Grow insurance services by building client relationships, pursuing new opportunities, and supporting marketing initiatives. Demonstrate urgency and commitment to clients during emergencies, coordinating the emergency response program. Collaborate on catastrophic event resource planning and allocate resources accordingly. Manage work‑in‑progress, invoicing, and accounts receivable, ensuring clear billing and communication on scope changes. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field. Professional designations (EIT, P.Eng., CET/AScT, CIH/ROH, CRSP/CRST, EP) are assets. 8–10 years in environmental consulting, including 5+ years in project management. 4+ years working with insurance adjusters/restoration contractors. Skilled in water loss and mould investigations, smoke & fire damage assessments, hazardous materials surveys, remediation, and post‑disaster IEQ investigations. Understanding of building systems and current provincial/federal regulations. Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines, maintain budgets, and resolve issues proactively. Strong written and verbal client‑service communication skills; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset. Experience mentoring junior staff and collaborating across disciplines. Comfortable in fast‑paced, unpredictable environments; willing to travel and respond outside normal hours. Committed to health and safety best practices with relevant training and hazard assessment diligence. Understanding of insurance processes and financial targets, focusing on service quality and profitability.
