The Opportunity We are seeking a highly driven and entrepreneurial Managing Director with a strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead and scale a diversified investment portfolio growing from approximately $300M to $1B+ AUM. The portfolio spans real estate, private investments, and cross‑market financial assets, requiring a leader who can operate across asset classes, jurisdictions, and investment structures while driving disciplined performance and long‑term value creation. This role is ideal for a high‑agency, self‑starter operator who thrives in fast‑moving environments and leverages AI‑enabled tools, automation, and data‑driven decision‑making to enhance portfolio oversight and execution. What You’ll Do Lead oversight and strategic direction of a diversified investment portfolio across real estate, private investments, and alternative assets. Drive portfolio growth from ~$300M to $1B+ AUM through disciplined capital allocation and performance optimization. Develop and maintain portfolio strategy, including risk management, diversification, and return optimization. Identify underperforming assets and execute value‑creation initiatives. Deliver actionable insights to support investment decisions, capital deployment, and liquidity planning. Implement AI and automation tools to enhance reporting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities. Work closely with investment managers to monitor performance and ensure alignment with targets. Oversee execution of asset‑level business plans and strategic initiatives. Optimize capital allocation across competing investment opportunities. Ensure all entities are properly structured, compliant, and operating efficiently. Coordinate relationships with external accountants, tax advisors, attorneys, and investment managers. Oversee tax strategy, reporting, and compliance across the portfolio. Communicate portfolio performance, risks, and strategic updates to the CEO. What You’ll Need to Bring 7–12+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a VP of Finance or Operations role. Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills. Deep understanding of financial statements, tax structures, and entity management. Comfortable managing external advisors and holding them accountable. Exceptional organizational skills. High EQ and discretion — handling sensitive and confidential information. Strong written and verbal communication — distilling complexity into clear recommendations. Tech‑savvy and comfortable building out systems and processes from scratch. Self‑starter who takes ownership, operates with urgency, and gets things done without direction.
