SENIOR ADVISOR - PROJECT & STAKEHOLDER IMPLEMENTATION A major resource development organization is seeking a senior individual contributor to support the implementation and ongoing progress of a complex multi‑party agreement related to a large, long‑term project in Western Canada. This role is a critical and time‑sensitive priority and requires a professional with strong judgment, cultural awareness, and the ability to drive outcomes through collaboration, accountability, and trust‑based relationships. Role Purpose The Senior Advisor will support effective implementation of an existing agreement by acting as a key coordination and integration point between organizational leadership, project teams, and Indigenous partners. The role is operational and delivery‑focused, requiring someone who can take ownership, advance actions, and influence outcomes without formal authority, while operating with professionalism, respect, and discretion. Work Location: Based in Western Canada (Vancouver preferred; Calgary, Whitehorse, or Kelowna) Work Hours: 25 -30 hours/week Travel: Maybe required to travel within indigenous group territories Employment Type: Contractor Contract Duration: 12 months with possible extension Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and day‑to‑day progress of a complex agreement involving multiple stakeholder groups Act as a central point of coordination between project leadership and Indigenous partner representatives Support and help drive an established Leadership / Oversight Committee Identify and address challenges related to: Decision‑making delays Alignment across parties Implementation gaps and unclear accountabilities Track commitments, actions, and follow‑up items to ensure progress and transparency Enable effective and timely decision‑making through clear information and thoughtful facilitation Work closely with operations, procurement, HR, and management teams to integrate commitments into execution Travel periodically to project sites and Indigenous communities as required to support relationship‑building and implementation Qualifications 7–10+ years of relevant experience, mid‑career to senior level Strong background in project delivery or project management, ideally within resource or capital‑intensive projects Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with Indigenous Nations or community stakeholders in Western Canada Background may include: Engineering Project management Indigenous or community engagement Mining, construction, energy, infrastructure, oil & gas, or LNG Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments and holding parties accountable in a respectful manner Able to operate independently and proactively with limited executive availability Strong organizational and planning skills Proficient in Microsoft Project Individual contributor role (no direct reports) Governance & Ways of Working Works closely with, and has dotted‑line accountability to, a multi‑party Oversight Committee Requires the ability to build credibility and trust across diverse perspectives Operates with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in sensitive contexts To apply for this position, please send your resume in Word format to We thank all applicants for their interest.
