Aplin is partnering with a long-established industrial services organization to hire a Business Development Manager. The company delivers specialized maintenance, project, and technical service solutions to heavy industrial operations across Western Canada, supporting critical infrastructure where reliability, safety, and efficiency are essential. With a strong regional presence and deep legacy relationships, there is significant opportunity to drive new business, develop new accounts, expand existing relationships, and re-engage dormant customers. The role focuses on project-based service solutions, planned maintenance support, outage‑related work, and responsive field service in highly technical industrial environments. This is a highly relationship‑driven role built on in‑person meetings, site visits, technical understanding, and strong client partnerships. It requires approximately 60% travel across Western Canada, including industrial and remote operating sites, while working closely with internal technical and project teams to deliver solutions. Responsibilities Drive new business development across Western Canada industrial territories Build and maintain strong relationships with operations, maintenance, and facility stakeholders Identify, pursue, and convert new project opportunities and RFQs Work with a mix of cold, warm, and legacy accounts Re‑engage dormant accounts and expand penetration in key industrial corridors Conduct regular on‑site visits across industrial facilities and operating locations Develop and manage a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship building Collaborate with internal technical and project teams to develop client solutions Participate in maintenance and project planning discussions Monitor market activity, competitor presence, and emerging opportunities Qualifications Proven experience in industrial, technical, or service‑based outside sales Strong network or familiarity within Western Canada industrial markets Experience selling into industrial operations, maintenance, or facility environments (Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Mining, Manufacturing, Pulp & Paper, etc.) Background in industrial services, mechanical, maintenance, construction, or environmental services (asset) Former industrial facility personnel transitioning into sales strongly valued Comfortable working in rugged, field‑based environments with ~60% travel across Western Canada Self‑directed with strong autonomy and accountability Success in relationship‑driven, long‑cycle sales environments Technical curiosity and ability to understand complex industrial applications Existing relationships within industrial operations/maintenance networks considered a strong asset Compensation & Benefits Strong base salary with bonus: ~35% at target, with upside accelerators for overperformance Company truck and gas coverage provided RRSP matching (3.5%) Standard tools provided (laptop, phone, etc.) Strong earning potential for high performers At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
