It’s central to its economic and environmental development. In this role, you’ll work on long‑term projects with the STM (Société de transport de Montréal) for the Blue Line extension, which includes 6 km of tunnels, 5 metro stations, and 2 bus terminals . Be part of an integrated project team working closely with our client and contribute to the 20+ year partnership between Stantec and the STM . Join Stantec as a Construction Scheduler to manage the multidisciplinary Implementation Schedule (MEO) . This is a hybrid position (project office, construction site, remote work). Responsibilities Your Responsibilities Reporting to the Section Head – Project Planning & Control , you will be responsible for project planning and tracking, supporting project monitoring strategies, integrating sector‑specific systems with other company systems, and incorporating risks and change requests into the project planning process: Prepare schedules and planning for assigned projects or domains. Ensure integration of activities and schedules across disciplines and departments. Coordinate execution schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction. Plan activities based on selected WBS (Work Breakdown Structures) and execution strategies. Be responsible for obtaining and validating all required inputs for planning (needs and productivity). Collaborate with other planners on reporting and tracking budgets and activities. Plan reference baselines (reference schedule, labor “S” curve, activity duration calculations based on productivity metrics). Control the master MEO schedule by updating, analyzing, and developing action plans (mitigation plans) using simulations in Primavera P6 . Monitor ongoing work (reading plans and physical progress based on quantities completed) to determine actual project progress. Prepare progress reports based on physical work advancement, monthly or weekly depending on contractor needs. Establish methods for evaluating progress and forecasting upcoming work (durations and labor), with variance analysis against the reference schedule. Prepare contractual deliverables related to schedules (E4S, change tracking, impact analysis on critical path, detailed monthly schedule, recovery schedule, construction progress curve, current productivity measures, and monthly reports). Qualifications Your Background 10 years of experience in project planning and control during the implementation phase (MEO), ideally in fields related to infrastructure (architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, automation, etc.) and specialized industrial equipment (e.g., tracks, motorized installations, TCPE, etc.); University degree in administration or engineering , or any combination of relevant experience and education in the construction field; Proficiency in Primavera scheduling software; Experience preparing executive‑level reports or presentations ; Excellent French writing skills ; ASP safety card (required for construction site access).
