The Senior Manager will collaborate with senior business unit leadership and sourcing leaders in pursuit of improvements in quality, innovation, and service levels. The Senior Manager will have the opportunity to improve upon current processes with a goal of centralizing and consolidating company-wide supplier selection. The Senior Manager will consistently drive reductions in the total cost of goods and services procured by contributing to a competitive marketplace environment.In this role you willDevelop relationships with business leaders to support enterprise objectives, influence key stakeholders and lead sourcing strategies while collaborating on sourcing initiatives and projectsCollaborate with Business Unit and Operations leaders to fully understand key business drivers, spend drivers, and achieve required support levelsLead business value through the development of high quality and cost-effective supply relationships, while pursuing and championing total cost of ownership (TCO) savings directly by savings captured through leveraging Bank-wide purchasing volume, strategic supplier relationships, demand management or indirect savings realized by driving innovation and or enhancing the overall effectiveness of the supply management processDirectly lead and implement best practices in sourcing initiativesManage category within and across the Bank’s business segments, and serve as a key contributor to a well-developed and evolving supplier management processTrack sourcing initiatives for multi-functional stakeholder teams, ensuring effective strategy development, market assessments, RFP processes, and supplier management while enabling collaboration and innovation between stakeholders and suppliersEstablish and develop on‑going strategic relationships with key suppliers during major sourcing/project initiativesProactively work with the Business Line contract owners to understand business needs, business strategy, and pipeline of contract renewals to build an overall supplier contract strategy, with consideration for consolidation and reduction of contracts where opportunity existsAct as the issues/incident escalation point for the supplier that may have an enterprise‑wide impactContribute to a disciplined effort to influence spend and drive cost savings across all business segmentsSupport consistent application of procurement processes across constituent groupsChampion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledgeUnderstand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisionsActively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day‑to‑day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business ConductChampion a high‑performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates team members by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the teamDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or related field; master (MA or MSc) in business or related field an assetMinimum of 5–10 years progressive sourcing experience, Corporate Real Estate category knowledge would be an assetCPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) preferredGlobal sourcing experienceExcellent change‑leadership and conflict resolution management as well as advanced problem‑solving skillsExcellent stakeholder management skills and comfort in speaking with senior leaders at the Bank, including ability to bridge communications between stakeholders with a focus on structuring contracts to deliver against bank’s needsKnowledgeable in financial services and regulations (e.g., OSFI, OCC, CFPB, UDAAP) and how they are applied to Third Party relationships is preferredAbility to comprehend complex technical and financial issues and use them to inform the creation of effective action plans and supplier strategiesStrong business acumen and strategic thinking skillsAbility to develop collaborative working relationships with global stakeholder groups.
