About The Role Hi, I'm Dmitri Grozenok, Senior Manager of Onboarding product development at Jane. I've been here about a year, leading a team of eight developers working on a mission that's genuinely different from typical product work.The Onboarding team sits at a critical moment in a clinic's journey with Jane - right after they sign up but before they become successful power users. We don't own huge chunks of code. Instead, we reach across multiple domains to solve the hardest activation and retention problem in our business: getting new customers through their first critical days so they fall in love with Jane. Our metrics are churn and activation rate - which sounds simple until you realize we don't own half the levers that move them. That's what makes this work so interesting.We run a lot of experiments. Small projects, feature toggles, rapid iteration, constant learning. If you love shipping clean, thoughtful solutions and lifting the people around you, this is the role.What Impact We’re Looking For You To MakeShip experiments quickly and measure outcomes with discipline - moving the team from idea to validated learning in days, not weeks, and helping the team decide what's worth building further.Partner across product domains to connect the dots between signup, onboarding, charting, and beyond - creating frictionless activation experiences that no single team could build alone.Own the quality and reliability of your team's features in production - driving observability, catching issues proactively, and setting a high bar for maintainable, secure code.Mentor and coach more junior developers through code reviews, pairing, and clear communication - raising the team's technical craft and helping others grow into greater ownership.Contribute to architectural decisions and technical trade-offs that balance speed with sustainability - knowing when to move fast and when to invest in the foundation.What Experience We NeedA university degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field plus approximately 5+ years of experience. Those with a Master's or PhD may be considered with less. Alternatively, candidates with 8+ years of industry experience gained through non-traditional paths - such as bootcamps or self-teaching - are also encouraged to apply.Significant depth in at least one technical domain, with demonstrated ability to independently design, build, and deliver medium‑complexity projects or services with minimal course correction from senior leadership.Strong working knowledge of modern development workflows, generative AI tools, and how to use them effectively - candidates who have shipped real outcomes using AI are strongly preferred.Experience making sound architectural and technical trade‑offs in ambiguous situations, with a clear track record of writing secure, maintainable, and reliable code across the full SDLC.Demonstrated ability to mentor and uplevel more junior engineers through example, code review, and collaboration - with a genuine interest in the success of the team, not just your own deliverables.If you don't meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we'd still love to hear from you.Compensation & Benefits At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of$128,000 to $200,000 . While that is a large range, it is intentional. It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence.Most new hires join at theaccomplishedstage, which for this role represents an annual salary of$152,000 . A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills. Salaries above this usually apply to existing team members who have made a significant impact and bring deep Jane‑specific knowledge.We believe in paying for growth.
