Overview The Manager, IT Security is responsible for protecting the organization’s digital assets and information systems. Leading a team of security professionals is essential in protecting the organization's information confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Working closely with IT leaders and the business to assess and mitigate risks, ensure policy compliance, respond to incidents, and maintain security tools and technology. This position requires full-time on-site presence. All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing IT Security team. Partner with IT operations and business leaders to align security priorities. Educated on organizational security landscape and associated industry trends. Set strategic security direction and policy, within areas of responsibility. Develop and document overall Security Plan. Identify, assess, and manage security risks within tolerance. Oversee security incident response and remediation as required. Maintain and enhance security tools, technologies, and processes. Budgeting, planning and resource management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 10-15 years of experience Experience leading enterprise security initiatives and managing security risk. Strong knowledge of security architecture concepts, including network security zoning. Ability to communicate complex security topics clearly to senior leadership.
