This role primarily supports Human Capital Management (HCM) system administration, processing and Human Resource Metrics and Reporting. The Analyst will be the Workday technical user for maintaining the HR system and HR data quality. This highly technical role requires strong experience with HRIS systems, specificallyWorkday . The ideal candidate is proficient in building reports within Workday and possesses advanced Excel skills, includingVLOOKUP ,HLOOKUP , formulas, pivot tables, and macros. The role involves working with complex data sets and requires a strong analytical mindset to support HR operations and reporting needs.Status This posting is for an existing vacancy.Role and ResponsibilitiesAct as technical subject matter expert for Human Capital Management (HCM) Data and SystemsDevelop, collect, analyze and transform workforce data through the use of databases, spreadsheets, and queriesTranslate findings into meaningful visualizations and develop presentations for Business and HR leadershipSupport technical requirement development and implementation of HR reporting, dashboards and visualization in WorkdayResponsible for data entry and extraction, data collection and cleaning, data validation and analysisEnsure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting, analysis and integrations, recommend data enrichment practices and perform regular data cleansing of the Workday systemAct as point of contact for complex issues across applicable Workday modules such as, but not limited to, HCM, absence, time tracking, payroll, benefits, recruitingAct as point of escalation for system errors or failures while partnering with Payroll, Finance, IT and/or third party vendors to resolve issues as neededAct as lead for Workday updates such as review of system release notes, plan and coordinate testing, and rollout of system releasesSupport technical requirement development of HR processes and Workday full‑cycle implementations, including but not limited to new modules, mergers and acquisitions, divestment, reorganization and/or restructuringSupport with change management, communication, training development and executionAssist in HR processes harmonization and improvement initiativesDocument system Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)Support with SOX/Audit compliance deliverables in conjunction with internal & external auditorsSupport the day‑to‑day execution of work, including management of HRIS’s ticketing inboxQualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related fieldFour (4) years of current work experience in HCM Systems, Workforce Reporting and HR OperationsTwo (2) years of Workday full cycle system implementationMust have technical knowledge and configuration experience on Workday Recruitment, Absence and Time Tracking modulesWorkday Payroll and Integration experience an assetMust have experience in using Workday’s Report Writer, Worksheets, and Discovery BoardAdvanced proficiency in Excel (if statements, nested formulas, vlookups, countif, pivot tables, macros)Experience in workforce reporting with strong analytical skills – create, analyze and interpret HR metricsBasic understanding of the different HR functional concepts and processesBasic understanding of local and global employment standards and requirementsTechnical mindset – integration between business needs and HR technology solutionsDemonstrable ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentialityAbility to work under pressure, prioritize, multi‑task, and work extended hours to meet deadlinesAbility to work independently in global, cross‑regional and cross‑functional capacityAttention to detail in managing multiple programs and projects simultaneously with minimal supervisionProposes solutions and constantly follows through to solve complex problems in a busy environmentCompensation The expected annual base salary range for this role is CAD $60,000–$85,000.
