Overview Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is seeking a dynamic In-Room Dining Manager. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, this position will be responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day operation. This role is suited for someone looking to gain department head level experience, manage multiple operations and advance within Food & Beverage. Responsibilities Develop and enhance Fairmont service standards through disciplined administration of departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Enhance the leadership skills of additional leaders in the Outlet, including decision-making, performance management, planning, process mapping and analysis, and ownership. Maintain effective working relationships and clear communication with colleagues and leaders in the restaurant and other departments. Develop and administer the departmental Employee Engagement Survey Action Plan. Critically assess procedures, policies, and methods of operation and adjust where necessary. Monitor productivity, revenues and costs to ensure the financial success of the department and proactively implement improvements. Liaise with the kitchen to share a common vision. Create and implement all beverage menus and collaborate with the kitchen on food menus. Liaise with other Food & Beverage departments to ensure resources are shared and the division operates cohesively. Ensure equipment, fixtures, and furniture are well maintained and used safely and properly. Participate in the budgeting process by establishing clear priorities for operational and renovation capital expenditures. Foster a safety culture and ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards. Participate in hotel-wide environmental initiatives and develop department-specific initiatives. Aim to meet or exceed defined objectives related to the organization's pillars (e.g., VOS, EOS). Manage the seasonal transition of the restaurant successfully. Attend Leadership meetings and other required meetings. Payroll administration for the department. Maintain a clean and safe working environment and participate in health and safety initiatives. Adhere to hotel environmental policies and initiatives. Perform any other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Previous F&B department head level experience required. Strong, proven leadership and management skills. Working knowledge of Micros, Microsoft applications; Restaurant Manager is an asset. Post-Secondary Degree in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management an asset. Ability to delegate tasks and follow up to ensure results. Participation in Fairmont Fundamentals, Train the Trainer, and Interaction Management an asset. Self-motivated with the ability to make effective decisions. Demonstrates initiative and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure. Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
