Summary The Food and Beverage Supervisor – Banquets is responsible for assisting the banquet operations in daily events. This role delivers prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures. Salary: $55,000–$61,000 annually. Compensation within the range is based on job-related skills, knowledge, and relevant experience. This posting represents an existing vacancy. Responsibilities Motivate and lead through teamwork. Supervise and coordinate the assigned shift. Assist in overall supervision of the department. Complete Moments of Service checklist for banquets. Spot check liquor pars. Order daily supplies. Hold pre-shift meetings. Follow up on established training steps. Monitor and take corrective actions from guest comments on Medallia. Stay on the floor during peak hours. Communicate with guests and receive feedback. Observe, teach and correct associates’ service. Monitor each guest experience. Examine food preparation and beverage presentation. Maintain condition of the meeting rooms. Assist manager in scheduling, completing weekly payroll, expenses and forecasting both weekly and monthly. Prepare maintenance requests and follow-up. Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste. Maintain a high standard of sanitation throughout the food and beverage areas. Responsible for storage and requisitioning of all materials and equipment. Take and calculate material stock (inventory) as required. Report all breakages and cleaning supply consumption. Maintain all equipment to a high standard and report defects to maintenance. Adhere to Smart Serve and know emergency procedures to prevent accidents. Qualifications 2 years of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role is preferred. Banquet experience is an asset. Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines. Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is preferred. General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail and customer service skills. Flexible schedule including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Hotel Management degree or diploma is an asset.
