Legal Counsel, Dispute Resolution Our Client Our client is a large and rapidly growing Canadian organization operating within the healthcare services sector. With a national footprint and a strong reputation in its industry, the company continues to expand through strategic growth initiatives and operational excellence. The organization is seeking a junior lawyer to join its in-house legal team in Toronto in a highly visible litigation-focused role. Reporting directly to the Director, Legal, the successful candidate will work closely with business leaders and external counsel on a broad range of disputes, labour and employment matters, and strategic legal initiatives. Compensation & Structure Competitive compensation Downtown Toronto office location In-office 4 days per week with some flexibility Responsibilities Support the legal team in managing litigation and dispute resolution matters Independently assist with and manage disputes involving employment, labour, and commercial matters Draft legal documents including; pleadings, motion materials, facta, settlement agreements, employment agreements, contractor agreements, policies, and related documentation Provide strategic legal advice regarding ongoing and potential disputes, including risk assessment and litigation strategy Coordinate and manage relationships with external counsel, including budgeting, billing review, and litigation oversight Advise internal stakeholders on labour and employment law matters and related legal risks Support legal aspects of operational initiatives, transactions, and privacy-related matters Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams to provide practical and commercially focused legal guidance Manage multiple complex matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Requirements Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario 1-3 years of labour and employment litigation experience is required Experience gained at a top-tier law firm and/or within a sophisticated in-house legal department Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills Excellent judgment with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced, and collaborative environment Creative and practical problem-solving mindset Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset REF# LI1700
