Rural Recruitment Incentives Flat Fee: $39,703.68 annually ($9,925.92 paid quarterly) paid to any physician that permanently resides and practices in an eligible RSA community for a minimum 9 months per year and bills equal to or greater than $75,000 in the previous calendar year. Fee Premium (%): 25.62% paid on top of MSP billings or service contracts. In order to claim the Fee Premium, you must be physically located in the RSA community. Rural Continuing Medical Education (RCME) $330 quarterly in first 2 years in community ($1,320 annually) $880 quarterly in 3rd/4th year ($3,520 annually) $1430 quarterly over 4 years ($5,720 annually) Recruitment Incentive Fund (RIF) Up to a $20,000 one-time payment, depending on FTE. Relocation Funding (Recruitment Contingency Fund) $9,000 (based on where you are relocating from – within BC) $12,000 (based on where you are relocating from – moving within Canada outside BC) $15,000 (based on where you are relocating from – moving from outside of Canada) Rural CMPA Benefit (R-CMPA) R-CMPA (Canadian Medical Protective Association) provides eligible rural BC physicians with up to a 50% refund of CMPA fees . Physicians must permanently reside and practice in an eligible RSA community for a minimum of 9 months per year and bill equal to or greater than $75,000. * Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer.
