Our Calgary office seeks a candidate with strong technical expertise to lead the planning, design, documentation, and construction administration of a variety of building types, including high-performance data centers, water treatment facilities, advanced manufacturing plants, office spaces, and operations centers. Job Responsibilities Be knowledgeable in technical design concepts, code applications, design management skills, digital technologies, and design workflows for industrial-type facilities. Lead owner/client and internal meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Lead project teams of varied experience levels to successfully complete and deliver construction documents and intermediate milestone deliverables. Manage and undertake design activities and produce detailed documents required for construction. Co‑ordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team through all project phases. Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines. Perform QA/QC and cross‑discipline technical reviews. Write and edit architectural specifications. Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders. Incorporate agreed‑upon changes into project documents. Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed. Conduct work sessions at project sites in conjunction with client representatives, project managers, and other disciplines. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Architecture. Minimum five years of relevant experience in industrial architecture (e.g., data centers, water treatment facilities, public utility facilities, operations centers, aerospace, manufacturing). LEED accreditation with experience and/or interest in sustainable design. Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff. Experience facilitating meetings with a range of stakeholders, including engineers, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and AHJs. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field. Minimum five years’ experience. Registered Architect. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule). Excellent written and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proficient in Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes. Demonstrated graphic presentation skills. Experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications. Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills.
