The Corporate Actions team is a critical part of our firm and clients’ success and is a challenging and rewarding role for the right individual. In this role, you will experience the inner workings of asset management and will have the opportunity to advance your research, analytical and problem‑solving skills for future growth and development within Connor, Clark & Lunn (CC&L). The Corporate Actions role serves as the key provider of accurate corporate actions information and processing for all equity and fixed income portfolios at CC&L. What You Will Do Communicate with custodians, portfolio managers, and key personnel across CC&L to investigate and resolve corporate action cash and holding discrepancies. Gather and synthesize corporate actions information from multiple sources including Bloomberg, investor relations and custodian notifications. Process corporate actions (ex. Mergers & acquisitions, stock dividends, rights issues, spin-offs, redemptions and mortgage‑backed security pay‑downs) on portfolio holdings quickly and accurately using the firm’s portfolio accounting system (APX). Participate in operational projects focusing on automation, efficiency, and the scalability of IPO’s services. What You Bring Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience. 1–3 years’ experience in Corporate Actions processing (or a similar role in financial operations). Knowledge of multiple asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives). Ability to analyze large data sets using Excel. Programming skills (SQL, Python) are an asset. Strong communication skills – written and oral. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Enrollment in CFA or a similar qualification is an asset. Experience with processing both mandatory and voluntary events is an asset. Compensation The starting salary for this position is $65,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
