Primary Responsibilities: Use of various equipment/tools to create and repair tooling, including, but not limited to, grinders, welding equipment, machining equipment, and overhead cranes Prepare and load/set up the raw material or die sections in the machine Program/Run CNC code from provided CAD data using Mastercam Interact with CAD specialists/Toolmakers to refurbish/improve/build spares Maintain equipment by completing PMs and calling for repair if required Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and operational issues. Manufacture, modify and repair precision tools, jigs, and fixtures according to specifications, blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Required Skills & Expertise: Licensed Machinist and/or Tool and Die Maker 2-5 years of previous work experience in a custom machining shop Proficient in reading blueprints and sketches Experience with 3/5 axis CNC operation and programming Knowledge of SolidWorks, Mastercam, Edgecam and AutoCAD software Proficient with Okuma, Mazak, Siemens and Heidenheim CNC controls Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
