Lawyer, Real Estate Litigation About the Opportunity We are partnering with a longstanding client who is seeking a talented and motivated real estate lawyer to join a dynamic legal team focused on managing complex professional and real estate-related claims and litigation matters. In this full-time, permanent role, you will take ownership of a varied file portfolio and work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to assess exposure, develop strategy, and drive successful outcomes. This position is ideal for a real estate litigation lawyer who enjoys problem-solving, strategic thinking, and working across diverse areas connected to real estate disputes and professional liability matters. What You’ll Do Oversee and manage a portfolio of litigation files, with an emphasis on real estate-related matters Analyze claims, identify legal and practical risks, and develop tailored resolution strategies Collaborate with retained external counsel, providing direction on litigation approach and case progression Work directly with clients to provide guidance, support, and practical solutions Proactively adjust strategies as files evolve to achieve optimal outcomes Contribute to risk mitigation and loss prevention initiatives Leverage technology and modern tools to efficiently manage caseloads and reporting What You Bring Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing Minimum 5 years of litigation experience , with exposure to real estate disputes strongly preferred Experience in related areas such as civil litigation, insurance, estates, or commercial matters is an asset Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to assess complex legal scenarios Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines A proactive mindset with creativity in problem-solving Confidence working collaboratively with external counsel and internal partners Interest in developing deeper expertise in real estate litigation and related practice areas Why Join Our Client Our client offers a supportive, forward-thinking work environment designed to help you thrive professionally and personally: Hybrid work model – 1 day per week in-office, 4 days remote – Toronto, Ontario Competitive compensation aligned with experience (starting from $145K and increasing by $1K per additional year of experience) 5 weeks of vacation to support balance and well-being Comprehensive employer-paid health and dental benefits Robust pension plan with employer matching A culture that genuinely prioritizes work-life balance!
