Eckler is seeking a Senior People Analyst (1‑year contract) to help support system integration, reporting and analytics structures required for effective People & Culture decision‑making. This role, based in Toronto or Montreal, is focused on establishing reliable, repeatable people reporting and analytics capabilities during a period of systems evolution, with a strong emphasis on Workday reporting, dashboards, and data integrity. Key Responsibilities Partner with stakeholders to build a core suite of People & Culture reporting (recurring and self‑serve) across key workforce metrics, including headcount, turnover, hiring, internal movement, demographics, time‑to‑fill, and trend analysis. Define and document metric logic, including data definitions, calculation rules, refresh cadence, and ownership. Establish a practical reporting calendar and distribution approach for leadership and governance needs. Support Workday integration and optimization efforts across payroll, benefits administration, and core People & Culture workflows, ensuring reporting and downstream analytics reflect accurate, end‑to‑end processes. Partner with Payroll, Benefits, and HR Operations stakeholders to understand system touchpoints, data handoffs, and workflow dependencies that impact people reporting and analytics. Support testing, validation, and reconciliation of Workday data related to payroll, benefits, and workflow changes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness. Document key system integrations, workflows, and data flows that influence People & Culture reporting, including implications for metric definitions and governance. Support Workday data validation, testing, and reporting configuration to ensure outputs are accurate and defensible. Build and support the implementation of employment equity protocols and required reporting for compliance. Partner with stakeholders to ensure Workday reporting meets downstream needs across People & Culture, Total Rewards, DEI, and leadership. Assess current people data quality issues and implement practical improvements, including standardization, validation checks, and cleanup recommendations. Share knowledge and expertise to enhance technical capability within the People and Culture team. Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in people analytics, HRIS reporting, workforce analytics, or related roles. Post‑secondary education in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Analytics, Information Systems / HRIS or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience supporting or partnering on Workday integrations related to payroll, benefits administration, and HR workflows (dashboards, reports, data structures, etc.). Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now would be an asset. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical problem‑solving capability. Demonstrated experience building repeatable reporting structures from the ground up. Experience leveraging AI in human resources would be an asset.
