Job Details Location: Edmonton / Remote Across Alberta Company: Government of Alberta Title: SAP Security Analyst & SAP Junior Security Analyst Classification: Program Services 3 and Program Services 2 Salary: Program Services 3: $2,935.39 to $3,850.29 bi-weekly; Program Services 2: $2,562.61 to $3,361.54 bi-weekly Role & Responsibilities SAP Security Analyst Reporting to the 1GX Senior Security Analyst, this role supports 1GX/ERA production and non-production environments, leading complex security controls across multiple platforms. It includes translating business needs into security requirements, defining policies, and conducting Security Threat & Risk Assessments throughout system lifecycles. Collaboration with IT, security teams, system integrators, and service providers to resolve escalated access and security issues, safeguarding critical enterprise data and contributing to major initiatives such as ERA service-provider selection. SAP Junior Security Analyst Reporting to the 1GX Senior Security Analyst, this role supports day‑to‑day security operations across 1GX and ERA environments. Responsibilities include administering access, monitoring risks, supporting audits and testing, applying security and GRC processes, and escalating risks when needed. Engages with IT, ADS, and GOA Security teams to resolve access needs for hires, transfers, and terminations, using AI‑enabled tools, and contributes to ERA initiatives including RFP and vendor evaluation. Qualifications SAP Security Analyst: University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Computer Science. At least two years of progressively responsible experience in user management, access provisioning, role development in SAP, SAP GRC, and related content management systems. SAP Junior Security Analyst: University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Computer Science. No prior experience required. Notes Term of Employment: Up to two (2) permanent full‑time positions. Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Location: Edmonton / Remote across Alberta. Candidates must reside in Alberta; preference to Greater Edmonton Area who will work on‑site. Final candidates may undergo security screening.
