Assistant Store Managers Back-End Operations are responsible for all operations within the ‘back-end’ of the business including the Lumber Yard and LBM (lumber and building materials) departments, including maintaining safety standards, delivering financial results, merchandising, providing first-class customer service experience, and developing their people. This role offers a competitive salary with eligibility for annual bonus incentives. Responsibilities Oversee and manage shrink, ensuring accurate inventory counts and maintaining inventory integrity. Maintain high yard standards, ensuring the workspace is organized and safe for both employees and customers. Engage and motivate team members through regular check-ins, coaching, and providing constructive feedback. Drive profitability by executing sales strategies focused on lumber and lumber building materials (LBM). Analyze sales performance and implement initiatives to enhance sales growth. Manage fleet operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers (Optional dependent on store). Support team development through training programs and fostering a positive work environment. Ensure proficiency in software usage to enhance productivity and streamline daily operations: Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Operate Kronos for timekeeping and attendance management and D365 for managing customer interactions, sales processes, and inventory tracking.
