About The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Geologist, Mine to join our Mount Milligan Mine (MTM) operations site. This role operates on a rotation of 14 days on / 14 days off at a 12-hour daily schedule with camp accommodations provided. The Mine Geologist is responsible for conducting geological surveys and studies to locate and evaluate mineral deposits. This role involves analyzing geological data, mapping mineral resources, and providing technical support for mining operations. The Mine Geologist collaborates with engineers and other professionals to ensure efficient and safe extraction of minerals, while also adhering to environmental regulations and company standards. Your Responsibilities Manage ML/ARD and Ore & Waste Rock Management (OWRM) programs, including the design and execution of sonic drilling and test pit programs, field calls for TSF construction and PAG material, downstream sampling, and reporting. Provide technical assistance to the Mine Operations, Engineering, and TSF teams for Waste Material Management. Complete Month End Reconciliation and work with the Senior Mine Geologist on process improvements. Complete weekly Month-to-Date reconciliation. Manage and implement projects assigned by the Mine Geology Superintendent. Use reconciliation knowledge to enhance understanding of deposit geology and share insights with Exploration, Resource, and Production Geologists. Assist with drilling programs as directed by the Senior Mine Geologist. Provide geology-related operational support to various mine site disciplines and the mine planning group. Actively support and participate in site safety and health initiatives. Provide coverage for the Production Geologists, as needed. About You Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field, required. Should be a member of EGBC or have the ability to register with EGBC as a G.I.T or P. Geo. Experience in mining geology, preferred. Experience with geological mapping, drilling programs, and data analysis. Proficiency in geological software and tools, required. Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills, required. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, required. Willingness to be adaptable. Working Conditions Work involves a camp‑based role at the Mount Milligan Mine site with a set work schedule on a 14x14, 12 hours per day. Candidates must be able to maintain high levels of performance for extended shifts, up to 12 hours in duration. Occasional exposure to hazardous environments with the requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Mount Milligan is a safety‑sensitive environment and promotes a drug & alcohol‑free workplace and has adopted a ZERO – TOLERANCE policy, with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs/paraphernalia on site.
