Preloom is at the forefront of a transformative shift in the fashion industry. The future of fashion will be driven not by mere guesswork but by data-driven insights and informed decision-making. At Preloom, we empower brands to gain a competitive edge through cutting‑edge tools and innovative solutions. Together, we are shaping how the fashion world stays ahead of the curve. Role Description Preloom's CTO will be the first engineer in the room — the person who turns a compelling product vision into something real consumers and brands use every day. You'll own the full stack, make the foundational calls on architecture, data modeling, infrastructure, and engineering culture, and build the ML layer that gets more valuable with every drop. We move fast by design, and we expect AI‑augmented development to be a core part of how you do it. What We're Looking For Full‑stack fluency across the modern web stack — you can own frontend and backend without losing momentum Marketplace architecture experience — multi‑tenant systems, payment escrow flows, two‑sided data models ML intuition — you don't need to be a researcher, but you need to build clean data pipelines from day one, ship v1 recommendation and demand‑scoring models, and architect for a taste profile system that compounds over time AI‑augmented development — you use AI tooling to move faster and you're not apologetic about it Startup speed — you've shipped real products under real constraints and you know what to cut and what to get right the first time Qualifications 3+ years of full‑stack experience with modern web technologies; strong proficiency in Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL Experience building and scaling two‑sided marketplaces or multi‑tenant SaaS platforms Hands‑on familiarity with Stripe Connect or comparable marketplace payment infrastructure (escrow flows, payouts, commission logic) Comfortable owning ML pipelines end‑to‑end — data capture, feature engineering, and shipping v1 models for recommendations, scoring, or personalization Proven ability to architect consumer‑facing systems where data quality is a product requirement, not an afterthought Fluent with AI‑assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) and treats them as a genuine force multiplier Experience hiring and leading small, high‑output engineering teams Startup or early‑stage background — you know how to make the right tradeoffs under real constraints and ship without waiting for perfect Familiarity with authentication‑gated data collection (OAuth, Google Sign‑In) and consumer privacy compliance (GDPR, PIPEDA) is a plus Prior experience in fashion, retail, or consumer marketplaces is a plus but far from required Compensation Salary + equity opportunity If you believe you're a strong fit, feel free to email your resume to in advance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
