Professional Senior, Engineering - Materials & Processes Location: Marcel‑Laurin Plant 1 | Requisition ID: 11202 | Posting Start Date: 2/4/26 Responsibilities Perform tasks in a diversified range of Materials and Processes Engineering fields, such as metallics and chemical processes Lead material qualifications, support supplier changes, part non‑conformity issues and production line requests Lead development of test plans, collaborate with internal and external laboratories, analyze results and prepare, review and approve test reports Prepare, review & approve Materials & Processes Specifications and manage associated Qualified Product Library changes Review and approve engineering drawings, change documentation, and release documentation pursuant to technical engineering modifications/specifications for materials in general Lead R&D projects, support re‑design activities, investigate materials & processes impacts triggered by new environmental regulations Handle complex issues, make challenging technical decisions and provide regular status updates to upper management Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials or Chemical engineering from an accredited university Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an M&P Engineer in an aerospace/military production environment Extensive knowledge of the different metallic materials used in the aerospace industry, mainly aluminum, steel and titanium, and of the different corrosion mechanisms and available prevention methods Knowledge of main manufacturing processes such as machining, forming, heat treatment, shot peening and the different chemical surface treatments of aluminum (chemical conversion coating, deoxidizing and anodizing) Knowledge of typical military and/or aerospace industry standards such as CMH‑17, MIL specs, Federal regulations, ASTM, ISO, and SAE specifications Adept at solving engineering problems quickly and independently Pro‑active, result oriented and strong sense of responsibility Ability to work in a team environment and interact constantly with Senior Management, Professionals and Technicians from other value‑stream functions (Methods, Quality, Procurement, etc.) Excellent communication skills in English and French (written and oral) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Benefits Insurance plans (Dental, medical, life insurance, disability, and more) Competitive base salary Retirement savings plan Employee Assistance Program Tele Health Program Now that you can see yourself in this role, apply and join the Bombardier Team!
