Specialist, Digital Experience & Communications Full Time – Langley Township, BC, CA Staff 4 days ago – Requisition ID: 1265 Salary: $43,400.00 Annually Position Purpose and Summary The Specialist, Digital Experience & Communications advances the mission and vision of Trinity Western University by supporting the execution of cohesive, user‑centred digital experiences across the University’s web and communications platforms. As a hands‑on digital specialist, this role is responsible for building, updating, and maintaining digital assets—including web pages, email communications, and campaign components—ensuring they are accurate, aligned with institutional standards, and effectively implemented. Key Areas of Responsibility Digital Content & Web Execution Build, design, deploy, and manage content and web assets across institutional platforms (e.g., Drupal, Unbounce, SharePoint), ensuring brand alignment, accuracy, and quality. Work with departments via the ticketing platform to maintain accurate, relevant website content and a high‑quality user experience across all TWU digital properties. Support the execution and ongoing refinement of key digital pathways (e.g., program pages, landing pages, inquiry flows), aligning user experience, messaging, and institutional priorities. Develop digital assets (e.g., landing pages, emails) that drive engagement and support stated goals. Apply UI and content management best practices to support clear, user‑friendly digital experiences. Proactively ensure accuracy and quality of published digital content across all managed platforms. Maintain familiarity with available digital assets within the DAM (MediaValet) to support efficient and consistent content creation. Support campus communications by creating digital signage and assets using Adobe design tools or Marq templates. Digital Communications & Journey Execution Develop and deploy one‑off email communications and journeys via various platforms. Build and deploy digital communication workflows that support enrollment, advancement, and institutional engagement goals. Coordinate content development, segmentation, scheduling, deployment, and reporting for communications and journeys within Marketing Cloud (Salesforce). Execute integrated campaigns with campaign leads, aligning messaging, timing, and user pathways across digital platforms and touchpoints. Conduct testing and optimization initiatives (e.g., A/B testing) on digital assets as directed to optimize campaign outcomes. Ensure all digital assets adhere to institutional brand, accessibility, and usability standards. Monitor and report scoring metrics to measure performance against goals and objectives, identifying trends and insights for managers. Project Execution & Cross‑Functional Support Coordinate assigned work within the ticketing platform (TeamDynamix), executing requests within established workflows to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery. Support activation of digital marketing projects by collaborating with team members and contributing ideas to enable effective and engaging execution. Confirm requirements, manage timelines, and communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding project progress and outcomes. Maintain working knowledge of relevant institutional platforms (e.g., Drupal, MediaValet, Marketing Cloud/Salesforce) and provide basic guidance to internal users, including training and coaching as needed. Abilities Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) with a strong visual design sensibility that balances aesthetics, usability, and information flow. Working knowledge of website development within content management systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, Unbounce) with an emerging understanding of UX/UI principles. Experience with CRM/communication/automation platforms (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp). Experience in copywriting and optimizing digital content, user funnels, and digital pathways. Basic understanding of digital content best practices, including UX/UI, accessibility, and SEO. Foundational knowledge of digital marketing tools and tactics, including on‑page SEO, content marketing, and basic proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4). Standards & Requirements Education : Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, English or related field. Experience : 2–3 years of digital marketing or copywriting for digital platforms. Experience in web‑based digital development (graphic/web design) is an asset. Experience with Salesforce and relevant apps (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Enrollment Rx) is an asset. Experience in post‑secondary higher education is an asset.
