ResponsibilitiesDeveloping product design solutions and cable harnesses to meet specific design requirements Conducting design discussions and peer reviews of design artifacts Reviewing and analyzing supplier/stakeholder design documentation and manufacturing drawings Creating functional/simplified schematics for power sources and systems as well as wiring diagrams Producing electrical design artifacts such as schematics, interconnections, product specifications, and bills of materials for system-level architecture connectivity Supporting prototyping and testing, including defining test procedures and required resources Supporting qualification planning and testing, including managing test equipment and workforce resources Supporting the production team during the integration of new products Conducting ongoing research on new materials and suppliers to strengthen the supply chain Documenting CAD design information using Microsoft Visio and Office software QualificationsCurrently enrolled in an electrical engineering program or holding an electrical technologist diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution, or equivalent Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio Resourceful and personable, able to maintain strong supplier relationships and foster stakeholder communications Self-starter focused on production and results Provide support for definition studies and manufacturing drawings, and technical support to project teams Ability to work well in a team Ability to work independently Availability for four months starting September 2026 Ability to obtain NATO 'Secret' security clearance in a timely manner Additional Desired SkillsExperience with electrical CAD software Basic understanding of shock and vibration principles, thermal management, electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic compatibility compliance, and how these environmental requirements are considered in product design A valid security clearance is an asset Results-oriented attitude and initiative Language RequirementsKnowledge of English is required for this role so the candidate can perform all job functions. The role requires daily communication with a virtual team outside Quebec and with organization members, clients and suppliers located outside Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or edit technical documents from our primary clients and prepare technical documentation for those clients.
