Job Summary The HR Strategic planning team leader drives the development, governance, and monitoring of the People Strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives. The individual serves as a critical integrator across Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), Workforce Insights and Strategic Program Management capabilities, ensuring that all three teams within the People Strategy Team are effectively working together. This individual is also leading two resources (Sr. Analyst and Manager level) in management of TPT rhythms and engaging in thought leadership by analyzing Equinix and its People Team’s strategy and conducting external research to determine where/how we need to evolve. Responsibilities People Strategy and Leading Practice Research Drive the development of the People Strategy and monitor progress against the strategy Assess progress of People Strategy, Enterprise workforce needs and Functional talent plans to develop a POV input to development of People Strategy Develop and manage governance frameworks for strategic people team investments and resource allocation decisions Accountable for storyboarding and leading team to prepare executive presentations including Board materials that articulate the People Strategy, investment priorities, risks, and outcomes Keep a pulse on external HR trends and develop white papers that push TPTs agenda forward Planning and Budgeting Partner closely with TPT practice leaders to develop and execute short and long-term TPT strategies Manage TPT’s domain area review process in alignment with People Strategy Oversee tracking, performance monitoring and strategic allocation of TPT's ~$100MM budget in partnership with Finance and TPT leaders. Develop recommendations throughout the year on allocation of strategic reserve funds to align with People Strategy Priorities TPT Roadmap & Governance Maintain and monitor People Team’s strategic roadmap and assess progress Oversee MBR and QBR rhythms for the people team to regularly monitor progress against plan Strategy Team Integration Operate as strategic integrator across People Strategy team’s capability areas including Strategic Planning, Workforce Insights and Strategic Workforce Planning and Strategic Program Management teams Lead ad‑hoc programs and projects that require cross team integration Qualifications Knowledge and Experience 7+ years in HR strategy, program management, business partnering, consulting or related fields Demonstrated success in designing people solutions that drive business and talent outcomes Extensive experience developing executive‑ready deliverables and presenting/facilitating to senior leadership teams Experience working in complex, matrixed organisations and managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong background in stakeholder engagement, change management, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., HR, Business, I/O Psychology, Analytics); Master’s degree preferred Skills and Attributes Strategic and analytical thinker, able to solve complex business problems with data Exceptional storytelling and data visualisation skills to influence decisions Executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders Influence decisions with senior‑level stakeholders Strong project management and organisational skills Collaborative, customer‑oriented, and adept at driving change across teams Commitment to inclusive leadership and collaboration in all aspects of work Pay Range Canada - Toronto Office: 139,000 - 209,000 CAD / Annual.
