Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior Developer to join a leading Courier and Logistics client in Mississauga.The Senior Java Developer will act as the technical counterpart to the Solution Architect and serve as the bridge between solution design and the development team. The role requires strong hands‑on development capability (not just coordination).Work arrangement: Primarily remote with occasional on‑site attendance in Mississauga as needed for key meetings and visibility.Contract duration: Through year‑end with extension based on performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner closely with the Solution Architect during and after requirements discovery to understand solution direction and design.Translate solution designs into detailed technical stories (with support from the BA and Solution Architect), including:impacted systems/componentsdatabase tables/fields and technical implementation detailsclear acceptance criteria and implementation notesRun technical walkthrough sessions with developers to ensure clarity and eliminate ambiguity before development starts.Fill gaps quickly and reduce developer time spent on clarifications by producing thorough, high‑quality technical tickets.Contribute hands‑on development work (this is required, not optional).Support technical operations/problem solving as needed (e.g., triaging security alerts in AWS cloud environments and coordinating resolution with the Solution Architect).Help ensure continuity by progressively taking over key work from the current senior developer.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
