Our Coquitlam team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the full project lifecycle—from bid handover through execution and closeout—guiding complex infrastructure and construction work to be delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and on budget. The position is based in Coquitlam, BC, with travel to project sites as required. Responsibilities Maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Leading and managing all phases of construction projects from inception to completion. Overseeing multiple projects or large‑scale infrastructure projects. Developing and executing comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk assessments. Directing and coordinating cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Conducting regular site visits and providing hands‑on support to field operations. Preparing, managing, and forecasting project budgets and schedules. Interpreting cost reports and ensuring financial performance targets are achieved. Overseeing procurement activities including bid analysis, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations. Administering contracts, including claims management, holdbacks, and compliance with contractual obligations. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and opportunities; adjusting plans proactively to maintain schedule and budget. Monitoring project progress and proactively adjusting plans to maintain schedule and budget. Implementing and tracking productivity KPIs and performance metrics. Producing accurate, timely, and well‑organized estimates. Creating scopes of work and issuing request‑for‑quote packages. Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Leading project meetings and ensuring clear, timely communication across all stakeholders. Preparing and presenting regular project status reports to senior management. Leading or supporting quality control and quality management systems. Mentoring and developing Project Managers, Coordinators, and field staff through clear direction, coaching, and constructive feedback. Fostering a collaborative, high‑performance team culture; facilitating conflict resolution and effective problem‑solving. Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, productivity, and project delivery outcomes. Overseeing project closeout, including final quality documentation and successful project turnover. Conducting post‑project evaluations and capturing lessons learned to inform future work. Performing additional duties as assigned. Requirements Legally eligible to work in Canada. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). 8–12+ years of progressive project management experience in heavy civil or infrastructure construction. Demonstrated success delivering large, complex projects with strong safety, schedule, and cost outcomes. Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam. Strong knowledge of construction systems, methodologies, and industry best practices. Solid experience in budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting. Strong contract and negotiation skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, Teams). Ability to analyze data, translate insights into action, and improve project performance. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach. Proven ability to build teams, manage stakeholders, and juggle priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, including conflict resolution and client relationship management. Highly organized, self‑motivated, and results‑driven, with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
