Duties and responsibilities include:Provide a fun, safe, and healthy environment for children registered in YMCA Calgary Day CampsProvide proactive supervision and facilitate daily activitiesWork alongside and collaborate with other Day Camp staff including Day Camp Coordinator, Supervisor, and Specialty Camp InstructorsPlan and implement all aspects of the daily schedule within the provided curriculum, including arts and crafts, active group activities and sports including physical literacy activities, traditional day camp games and other engaging activities, while encouraging camper participationEnter the pool daily and engage in pool activities with campersSupervise weekly field trips off‑siteDemonstrate and role‑model positive behavior when working with other staff, campers, and membersFollow YMCA Calgary policies and proceduresProvide first aid when requiredGreet parents/guardians and campers on arrival and departure from camp, providing extra assistance and daily updates as neededAttend mandatory staff training prior to the start of campWhat qualities do we look for in YMCA Calgary Staff and Volunteers?
