Urban Legal Recruitment is pleased to partner with our esteemed client in the recruitment of a Real Estate Paralegal to join its highly regarded Calgary office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and polished Paralegal to work within a sophisticated and collaborative real estate practice supporting lawyers on a broad range of residential, commercial, and development matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting client service delivery while working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities • Preparing and drafting real estate documentation, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, mortgages, title documents, and closing packages • Conducting and reviewing title searches, off-title searches, and due diligence • Coordinating with clients, financial institutions, real estate agents, government offices, and opposing counsel • Assisting with the preparation and management of closing documentation, statements of adjustments, and registration of documents • Coordinating and attending to closings, including electronic registration systems • Maintaining organized physical and electronic files • Monitoring critical dates, deadlines, and follow-up requirements • Providing administrative support to the legal team as required • Acting as a point of contact for clients and handling routine inquiries and correspondence with professionalism and discretion • Working closely with lawyers, law clerks, paralegals, and support staff to support practice management and client service delivery • Handling highly confidential information in accordance with firm and professional standards • Utilizing document management systems, legal software, and Microsoft Office applications effectively • Assisting with practice management, including calendar management, time entry, travel coordination, and related administrative support Qualifications & Experience • 5–8 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Law Clerk, or Paralegal within a large law firm or professional services environment • Legal Assistant, Law Clerk, or Paralegal diploma/certificate from a recognized institution • Strong knowledge of real estate legal terminology, filing requirements, and related procedures • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with legal software, document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment • Professionalism, sound judgment, discretion, and a strong client service orientation This is a tremendous opportunity to join a highly respected and collaborative team offering sophisticated work, excellent mentorship, and a supportive environment.
