Overview The Product Engineer (Growth) is responsible for designing, building, and executing rapid experimentation cycles to drive measurable growth across Plastic Bank's digital products and platforms. This role focuses on shipping bi-weekly experiments, building MVPs, and contributing to technical architecture that supports acquisition, activation, and monetization goals. The position requires hands-on technical execution using modern web development tools and AI-assisted development practices. Responsibilities Experiment Design & Execution (60% building, 20% running, 20% analysis) Design and launch bi-weekly growth experiments targeting acquisition, activation, conversion, or retention metrics Build customer-facing features, internal tools, and standalone prototypes/MVPs Execute A/B tests, feature flag deployments, and landing page experiments Instrument tracking and analytics to measure experiment outcomes Analyze experiment results and provide data-driven recommendations (scale, iterate, or terminate) Technical Development Write and deploy production code for web applications using existing tech stack (Vercel, PostHog, Loops, N8N) Utilize AI-powered development tools to accelerate build cycles Collaborate with full-stack developers to integrate validated experiments into core product Maintain version control practices (Git) and follow deployment workflows Build feedback mechanisms to gather user insights and inform future experiments Performance Measurement & Reporting Track key growth metrics and experiment performance using PostHog analytics platforms Report experiment outcomes to wider Tech team with clear next steps Maintain documentation of experiments, learnings, and technical implementations Identify and prioritize new growth opportunities based on data analysis Work cross-functionally with developers, designers, and marketing team members Communicate technical decisions and experiment results to non-technical stakeholders Participate in rapid priority shifts based on business needs and data insights REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience 2-3 years of hands-on experience building web applications Demonstrated experience using AI-powered code development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) Portfolio of built projects (can include personal projects, side ventures, or micro-SaaS products) Technical Skills (Must-Have) Proficiency with version control systems (Git) Understanding of modern web application architecture and development practices Experience with any modern web framework (React, Vue, Angular, Rails, Django, etc.) Ability to write and debug code across front-end and back-end environments Experience with AI-assisted development workflows Technical Skills (Preferred) Experience with Typescript, React, Next.js, and Tailwind Familiarity with Convex database platform Experience with PostHog or similar product analytics platforms Experience in growth engineering, PLG (Product-Led Growth), or startup environments Core Competencies Autonomous Execution: Ability to work independently without detailed roadmaps or constant supervision; self-directed problem-solving Bias for Action: Prioritizes shipping testable solutions over prolonged planning cycles Growth Mindset: Defaults to experimentation and iteration; comfortable with failure as learning Technical Adaptability: Quickly learns new tools and technologies as needed Data-Driven Decision Making: Uses metrics and analytics to inform priorities and decisions Ambiguity Tolerance: Operates effectively in fast-changing environments with shifting priorities Communication: Clearly articulates technical concepts to non-technical audiences Professional-level English communication skills, both written and verbal; able to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
