An innovative and leading supplier of HS Analog and Mixed Signal products in the Semiconductor domain is searching for an experienced NPI Product Engineer to drive their high profile NPI Programs, based at their site in Ontario. This role sits at the intersection of Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Design, Quality, Operations, Foundry, and OSAT partners, ensuring that new technologies move efficiently from development into qualified production. Key areas of responsibility: New Product Introduction & Engineering Execution You will be responsible for orchestrating semiconductor product launches from concept through qualification and production readiness. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining integrated execution plans across Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Design, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality. Identifying schedule, resource, and technical risks before they impact program milestones and driving mitigation plans to closure. Leading phase reviews, readiness assessments, and executive decision checkpoints throughout the product lifecycle. Establishing clear ownership, deliverables, and success criteria for each development stage. Driving alignment between engineering execution plans and quality requirements to ensure predictable product releases. Providing visibility to leadership through structured reporting, risk reviews, and program health metrics. Coordinating engineering resources across multiple sites and competing priorities to ensure successful program delivery. Manufacturing Readiness & Production Escalation Management You will act as the program leader for critical manufacturing and qualification issues that threaten product delivery, yield, reliability, or customer commitments. Responsibilities include: Coordinating cross-functional response teams during high-impact production events. Driving structured root-cause investigations and corrective action activities through closure. Ensuring corrective and preventive actions are validated, implemented, and sustained. Maintaining ownership of issue resolution timelines and escalation paths. Establishing disciplined tracking, reporting, and lessons-learned processes across engineering teams. Working directly with external manufacturing partners to resolve process excursions, yield disruptions, and quality escapes. Strategic Stakeholder Leadership This role requires influencing across organizational boundaries and translating technical complexity into actionable business decisions. Responsibilities include: Serving as a key interface between engineering organizations and business unit leadership. Aligning stakeholders on priorities, trade-offs, schedules, and execution strategy. Driving consensus across globally distributed teams and functional groups. Communicating program status, risks, and decision points to senior leadership and executive audiences. Building a culture of accountability, transparency, urgency, and continuous improvement. Supporting quarterly business reviews and executive program assessments. Foundry, OSAT & Supply Chain Program Management You will lead external manufacturing programs that enable product scaling, qualification, and long-term supply continuity. Areas of ownership include: New process node introductions. Foundry transfers and technology migrations. Assembly and package qualification programs. Test house qualification and production ramp activities. Manufacturing readiness for new product introductions. Cross-site production transfers and operational scaling initiatives. You will: Build and manage integrated plans across engineering, operations, quality, foundries, OSATs, and test partners. Ensure technical, operational, and quality milestones remain aligned throughout qualification activities. Coordinate capacity planning, tester readiness, resource allocation, and manufacturing preparedness. Drive executive-level risk management for external manufacturing programs. Establish clear qualification criteria, approval gates, and release requirements for all manufacturing transitions. Required Qualifications 7+ years of technical program management experience within the semiconductor or microelectronics industry. Background in Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations. Experience leading complex cross-functional hardware development programs from concept through production. Experience working directly with foundries, OSATs, test houses, suppliers, and manufacturing partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Demonstrated success influencing technical teams without direct authority. Strong documentation, planning, and organizational discipline. Ability to thrive in fast-moving environments with changing priorities and customer requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing qualification programs involving advanced packaging, mixed-signal ICs, high-speed connectivity products, or complex manufacturing transfers. PMP or equivalent program management certification. Expertise with enterprise planning and scheduling tools, including Microsoft Project. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
