Senior Software Development Engineer – AWS Marketplace We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to help AWS Marketplace grow and enhance its cloud marketplace platform. The role involves owning significant portions of the product, defining next‑wave features, and shaping system architecture. You will work with cross‑functional teams and lead initiatives from strategy to implementation. Key Responsibilities Lead design and implementation of major deliverables end‑to‑end. Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, QA, and partners. Own front‑end user‑interface components using React.js. Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and database schema. Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices. Integrate third‑party services and APIs. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers. Participate in brainstorming sessions, prototype development, and iteration. Ensure software quality, performance, and scalability. Frontend Development Responsibilities Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces based on design specifications. Collaborate with UX/UI designers for seamless integration. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Write clean, modular, and reusable code following best practices. Backend Development Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain server‑side applications and APIs. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices. Design and implement database schemas and optimize queries. Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices. Develop scalable backend architectures for the multi‑tenant B2B marketplace platform. Integrate third‑party services and APIs as needed. Daily Work Conduct code reviews and identify areas for improvement. Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to define and implement new features. Collaborate with QA to fix bugs and ensure high‑quality releases. Communicate project status to stakeholders and clients. Prototype new features and gather customer feedback. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of programming in at least one software programming language. 5+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling). Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. Experience with web services, protocols, and distributed systems architectures.
