Job Description We seek a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead drinking water and wastewater projects, including treatment, pumping, storage, and related infrastructure. The role will manage projects throughout the life cycle, from planning and design to construction, commissioning, and close‑out. Possible locations: Hamilton, Kitchener, or London offices. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Lead a high‑performing team in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary drinking water and wastewater projects. Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment to anticipate and solve project delivery, technical, and client challenges. Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders. Lead the completion of design deliverables, including technical reports, specifications, tender documents, and design drawings. Lead quality reviews, confirm conformance with project requirements, and arrange for senior engineer reviews. Lead permitting applications for provincial and local regulatory agencies. Manage services during construction, including contract administration, site inspections, SCADA development, testing, startup, commissioning, and post‑construction warranty. Promote and maintain a safe working environment with project teams, operations, and senior leadership. Monitor and control project scope, schedules, risks, and budgets; collaborate with operations to track key financial metrics. Participate in business development: pursuit and proposal development for new drinking water and wastewater projects. Provide mentorship and guidance to early career project staff. Engage in professional development and industry events. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant program and 6+ years of related experience or equivalent. Minimum of 6 years experience as a Project Manager for drinking water and wastewater projects. Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Preferred Requirements 8+ years progressive experience as a Project Manager for drinking water and wastewater projects. Demonstrated technical and engineering knowledge. Registered as a P.Eng. or C.E.T. in Ontario. Experience overseeing all technical aspects of small to mid‑size drinking water or wastewater projects. Knowledge of industry and local municipal standards and guidelines. Experience with Master Plans and Class Environmental Assessments is an asset. Client‑facing project experience is an asset.
