Northern Lights School Division No.113 is a provincial school system serving a predominantly Indigenous school population throughout an area encompassing the entire northern half of Saskatchewan. The schools are very diverse ranging from 10 to over 500 students per school, and catering to Cree, Dene, Métis, French, and English cultures and languages. NLSD provides a full range of pre-kindergarten to Grade Twelve programs to more than 4300 students in 21 schools. We have offices located in the beautiful communities of La Ronge and Beauval, both approximately 400 kilometers north of Saskatoon. FTE Full Time Term of Employment Permanent Salary and Benefits According to the provincial salary grid ( plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a Northern living allowance. Qualifications Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility) Additional coursework in Special/Inclusive Education would be considered an asset Knowledge of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, adaptive dimension, differentiation, curriculum, environment and assessment Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently The successful candidate will Work within a team to help address issues of complexity.
