This is a high-visibility, senior individual contributor role sitting at the intersection of business strategy, data engineering, and client intelligence.You will own the foundational data layer that drives how the firm measures, understands, and acts on client profitability, resource efficiency, and strategic opportunity. Your work will be consumed across Corporate and Investment Banking, Global Markets, and adjacent business lines — scale and reusability of your solutions is central to the mandate.WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FORLead end-to-end business analysis for client value measurement platforms — including client revenue analytics, resource consumption, client plan, and wallet analytics across all Capital Markets business linesOwn requirements definition for reference data governance and client metrics reporting, in close partnership with data engineering and development teamsTranslate complex, ambiguous business requirements from senior stakeholders into precise data models, functional specifications, and technical requirementsServe as the bridge between traditional BI/reporting tooling and the firm’s emerging advanced analytics and data science capabilitiesDrive end-to-end project delivery — scoping, stakeholder alignment, success criteria, production monitoring, and risk communicationPresent data solutions to senior business leaders, securing approvals and managing acceptance criteria across multiple business linesAct as subject matter expert across the analytics product lifecycle — from design through implementation and productionWHAT YOU BRING Must-Have10+ years of business analysis experience within financial services, with meaningful exposure to Capital MarketsDeep understanding of Capital Markets data and products — particularly in Corporate and Investment Banking (credit exposures, new issuances, trades, reference data, return calculations)Advanced, hands-on SQL proficiency — complex queries, data modelling, validation, and data analysis at scaleDirect experience with reference data — stitching together multi-vertical data assets into coherent, scalable frameworksDemonstrated ability to produce BA deliverables: data requirements documents, functional specifications, data modelsProven confidence presenting technical solutions to senior, non-technical business stakeholdersAgile/Scrum delivery experience, including sprint planning participationToronto-based with ability to work in-office on a hybrid basisStrong-to-HaveExperience supporting cross-firm, scalable data solutions (not business-unit silo projects)Corporate and Investment Banking domain expertise — client performance reporting, credit exposure, capital allocationProficiency in Tableau or comparable BI/data visualisation platformsCloud infrastructure exposure — AWS or Azure — with awareness of enterprise data architecture patternsExperience on data modernisation, cloud migration, or enterprise analytics platform implementationsConceptual fluency in AI/ML and its applications to analytics problems (hands-on delivery not required)Background in regulatory, risk, or front-office analyticsWHO YOU ARE You don’t take requirements at face value.
