Role Description Arcadis is seeking a Power Market Sector Leader for our Canadian environmental consulting practice. This position can reside anywhere in Canada. The successful candidate will have a clear plan of how to build and drive sustainable Power Market Sector growth. The role is client facing and technical, requiring direct experience with providing environmental and/or environmental engineering services for Power Sector clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a self‑motivated professional (P.Eng, P.Geo or other designation) and a recognized leader in the industry to join our growing team. Role Accountabilities Definition and execution of the Canadian power market sector strategy, from an environmental perspective. Generation of world‑class sector insights. Translation of Global, North American, Canadian, and Divisional value propositions to the Canadian Power Market Sector client base. The Power Market Sector Leader will provide leadership and coaching of the Canadian Power Market Sector Team, establishing a clear sector vision, goals & objectives, and a proposition to market. The Leader will manage growth acceleration in Canadian Power Market Sector, including key growth accounts and coordination/communication with Arcadis Global Community of Practice leaders. Strong business development skills, a solid client base, and positive industry recognition are essential, as is a seller‑doer mentality combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role is client‑facing and requires technical experience and an environmentally driven approach. The Leader will drive overall growth in Canadian market sector revenue, bookings, and margin, aiming to meet or exceed planned targets. Responsibilities include leading the analysis and valuation of the local or divisional sector, developing the Power Sector financial plan, and translating global, national, and divisional sector propositions into commercially viable market sector propositions that differentiate Arcadis in the market. Additional responsibilities include leading knowledge management, adapting and executing marketing and communication plans, identifying new client, product, service, and value proposition opportunities within the Canadian market sector, and supporting pursuits by contributing tailored sector insights and value propositions to address specific client needs. The Leader will recruit, develop, and manage performance of employees, coaching and mentoring them to achieve high performance and growth, and promote a vibrant health and safety culture throughout the team and organization. Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications Client‑facing experience, business development, and a technical background in providing environmental and/or environmental engineering services for Power Sector clients. 15+ years of consulting experience (or equivalent) in the power industry. Proven track record of growing a Power sector business, client satisfaction and positive industry recognition. Previous experience with clients and/or contacts in the sector. Client‑facing and engagement skill set. Undergraduate degree in Civil/Chemical/Environmental Engineering or Earth Science related fields. Professional Engineer and/or Geoscientist designation within the provinces of practice and a member in good standing with the regulating professional association.
