Opportunity Lead the Future of Aviation – Join our Aviation team as a Senior Civil Project Engineer – Aviation and take the lead on some of Canada’s most significant airport infrastructure projects. From runways and taxiways to airfield lighting and de‑icing facilities, you’ll provide strategic direction, mentor junior engineers, and ensure technical excellence across multidisciplinary teams. Your Impact Lead and oversee conceptual, functional, and detailed design phases for major airport infrastructure projects. Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with TP312, ICAO, and FAA standards. Manage project delivery including scope, budget, schedule, and risk mitigation strategies. Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence. Engage with senior stakeholders and clients to build strong relationships and deliver strategic solutions. Drive innovation in design methodologies, sustainability practices, and digital tools. Champion quality assurance and continuous improvement across all deliverables. Contribute to business development, including proposal leadership and client presentations. Represent WSP at industry forums and maintain thought leadership in aviation engineering. Skills that Set You Apart Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible for registration. 10+ years of progressive engineering experience with a strong focus on aviation infrastructure. Proven track record in leading complex, multi‑disciplinary projects. Expertise in TP312 5th Edition and familiarity with ICAO/FAA standards. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools. Strong business acumen and ability to influence strategic decisions. Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills. Willingness to travel for client and project needs. Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $104,100 – $138,000 MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800 NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 – $124,900 Health and Safety Health and Safety is a core paramount value of WSP.
