Position Description Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of: RF power stages and bias/control circuits for SATCOM SSPA systems High‑voltage inverter and generator subsystems for medical X‑ray equipment Support PCB layout reviews, considering: High‑voltage isolation and creepage/clearance RF grounding and shielding practices Thermal management and mechanical integration Participate in lab testing and validation activities, including: Functional verification Performance characterization EMI/EMC troubleshooting Data collection and analysis Support circuit simulations using tools such as SPICE and/or MATLAB. Assist with failure analysis and root cause investigations for prototype and production units. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Test, and Quality teams to: Improve manufacturability (DFM) Enhance testability (DFT) Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives Contribute to the creation and maintenance of engineering documentation, including: Schematics and design notes Test procedures and reports Risk assessments and change documentation Required Skills & Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Completed coursework in: Power electronics Analog circuits Electromagnetics or RF fundamentals (preferred) Basic understanding of: Power converter topologies (e.g., buck, boost, full‑bridge, resonant) PCB layout principles Laboratory measurement equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power analyzer) Familiarity with simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB, or similar) is an asset. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team‑based engineering environment. Additional Considerations High‑power RF amplifier architectures (SSPA) High‑voltage power electronics used in medical imaging systems Reliability and thermal design considerations Structured design processes within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment Cross‑functional engineering collaboration in a production setting Embedded software design (C, C++) Experience with firmware/software source control practices (Git, Microsoft DevOps) CAN and RS232 communications protocol Security Must meet all CGP requirements.
