About the Role The SAP Cloud Application Event Hub team within the SAP Business Technology Platform is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud‑based applications. Responsibilities Design, develop, and operate scalable and secure platform infrastructure, tools, framework, and services to support enterprise‑scale application needs. Build and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipeline and GitOps operational framework. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, design, and cloud operations) to understand requirements and translate them into robust platform solutions. Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts to streamline delivery and operations, and infrastructure management. Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance through continuous monitoring, optimization, robust security practices, and sufficient observability. Provide technical documentation, guidance, and support on platform capabilities and best practices. Responsible for delivery of outcome of assigned projects or areas of responsibility and collaborate in devising long‑term concepts. Lead large, complex activities, using demonstrated creativity and expertise to deliver high‑quality technical solutions. Contribute independently, resolve complex issues within own specialist area. Provide regular project status and updates. Participate in the 24/7 on‑call rotation with the team. What You Bring Technically proactive, influencing the team with innovative and creative ideas. Passion for delivering high‑quality, fully tested and documented code. 8+ years of experience as a Software Developer (using Go programming language developing in containerized cloud environment using Kubernetes). Advanced experience with operating cloud services in a cloud environment (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.). Advanced experience in building and maintaining enterprise CI/CD pipeline. Advanced experience working in a containerized cloud environment using Kubernetes. Advanced experience working in an environment with continuous delivery/continuous integration. BA/BS degree in a computer related field. Good verbal and written English. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Kubernetes and related service mesh technologies like Istio, Linkerd or Envoy. Experience with enterprise application integration and/or data integration. Candidates must be able to work from the office in accordance with SAP’s current policy. Benefits & Compensation Targeted combined salary range: 108,100-222,800 CAD.
