The Cloud Services organization is seeking a Principal Artificial Intelligence Engineer to lead agentic AI systems development within the Cloud Platforms & AI Operations team.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop agentic AI systems for IT Operations and IT Service Management.Shape and implement agent‑based AI architecture, including LLM selection, reasoning, planning, prompting, state, memory, tool orchestration, identity, access, security, observability, evaluation, and autonomy.Define reference agents, design patterns, and best practices.Translate business processes into agent requirements, patterns, and flows.Implement complex AI agents in Python integrated with enterprise systems, APIs, and data platforms.Conduct functional and safety testing, regression testing, agent response evaluation, human‑in‑the‑loop feedback, and automated quality metrics.Automate deployment, monitoring, and governance of AI agents in scalable cloud production environments.Troubleshoot agent performance, behavior, results, safety, and security issues.Acquire data via SQL and REST APIs (including MCP Server) and develop or enhance ML models to solve business problems.Qualifications2+ years in end‑to‑end AI agent design and development and 5+ years in Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or similar; Master’s in AI or related field highly desirable.Strong experience with AI agent frameworks (e.g., Google Agent Development Kit) and ITSM use cases.Skilled in Python, Bash, YAML, JSON, SQL, and REST API‑based data extraction.Experience with Vertex AI, SageMaker, Azure ML and integrating ML models.Proficient with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Flux, Argo Workflows) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Helm, Ansible).Expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure; container orchestration (EKS/GKE/AKS, Anthos/Google Distributed Cloud) and model serving (VLLM, TorchServe).Knowledge of MCP Server protocol, graph databases, monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch), data/model versioning, experiment tracking, AI/ML security, compliance, and governance.Other Requirements Global role supporting clients/employees in North America and Europe; requires fluency in French and English.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement OpenText’s commitment to diversity and inclusion surpasses legal requirements, fostering a respectful and empowering environment for employees of all backgrounds, cultures, nationalities, races, colors, genders, sexual orientations, family statuses, ages, veteran status, disabilities, religions, or other protected bases.Compensation OpenText offers a thoughtfully designed benefits package including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.
