Pay Band Perfusionist $50.839 to $62.017 (5 step range) Employment Details Position #: Expected Start Date: March 23, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Royal University Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Perfusion Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Standby Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Perfusionist $50.839 to $62.017 Travel Required: No Job Description The Clinical Perfusionist sets up, operates and maintains the heart lung machine and related equipment such as the intra-aortic balloon pump, autotransfusion devices, ecmo and vads. The incumbent is responsible for routinely checking all hardware, maintaining perfusion related equipment and disposables stock on an ongoing basis, carrying out blood gas, heparin concentration, activated clotting time and thrombelastograph analysis, as well as quality control and calibration of those analyzers. The incumbent also acquaints other health care professionals with the perfusionist handling and use of equipment. They initiate, participate in and complete research projects in perfusion related areas. Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. Qualifications Education: Cardiovascular Perfusion advanced certificate Licenses: Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Other Education and Training: Cardiovascular Perfusion diploma is acceptable; Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body Successful completion of certifying exam of Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives #J-18808-Ljbffr
