We bring the RCAS mission to life as a Provincial Online Learning School, offering innovative onsite and virtual programming across British Columbia. Reports to: Vice Principal Overview As a High School Teacher at RCOA, you will be a mentor and academic guide for students during a pivotal stage of their educational journey. This role combines specialized subject expertise with a passion for fostering a creative, group learning environment within our unique online and hybrid models. You will lead students in exploring character and purpose while delivering high-quality, personalized education that aligns with our Christ-centred mission. Key Responsibilities Subject-Specific Instruction: Lead specialized courses such as Culinary Arts and/or PEH/Active Living (Quesnel), Gr. 10-12. Curriculum & Mentorship: Provide academic oversight and mentorship to teens, fostering an environment that inspires lifelong learning and spiritual growth. Collaborative Partnership: Partner effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to support home-learning families. System Management: Utilize online learning management systems to deliver content and track student progress in a dynamic digital environment. Professional Development: Attend mandatory onsite training sessions three times per year in the Lower Mainland or Vancouver Island. Target Start Date SY 2026/27, Head Count: 1, Job Status: In Person, Job Type: Part-Time, FTE: 0.05 – 0.10 Work Location: Quesnel BC Compensation & Benefits Pay: CA $49,721 – 83,390 annually at the determined FTE. Benefits: Extended Health & Dental, Pension plan available upon eligibility. Travel: Participate in Professional Development 3‑4 times per year. Dates for the 2026‑27 school year are: New Teacher Training (Virtual) – August 28, Orientation In Person (Mainland) – September 1, Orientation (Virtual) – September 2, Collaboration #1 (Virtual) – Elementary: November 12, High School: November 18 (3:00 – 7:00 p.m.) and Collaboration #2 (Virtual or In‑person) – Elementary: February 17, High School: February 18 (3:00 – 7:00 p.m.).
