Base pay range CA$75,000.00/yr - CA$85,000.00/yr Reporting into the Corporate Controller, the General Accountant/Bookkeeper will support corporate accounting functions. Our client is a Toronto-based private equity firm. Description Hybrid position: perform duties from the Downtown Toronto (Financial District) office location, at least 3 days a week. Handle and process all aspects of accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, inter-company transactions, and government filings. Perform monthly closing and all related journal entries using Quickbooks. Process payments and generate semi monthly cash reports. Ensure accounting processes are executed efficiently and effectively. Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision Profile +5 years bookkeeping experience, previous experience preparing financial statements, cash management, budgets, audit working papers. Must have considerable knowledge with basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.) and accounting functions. The ability to effectively interact with internal & external stakeholders. Experience with MS Office products, including Intermediate skills in Excel. Quickbooks experience an asset, but not required. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Post-Secondary Education (with a diploma in accounting or similar) an asset, but not required.
