Position: Release Train Engineer - SWIFTJob ID#: DLTJP Duration: 6 MonthsJob Summary The Release Train Engineer (RTE) will coordinate multiple Agile teams to deliver software products and features as a unified release train. This role is responsible for facilitating Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies, managing project risks, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The RTE will coach teams in SAFe and Agile practices, support the rollout of SAFe across the organization, and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in program management or RTE roles, a solid understanding of software development lifecycles, and excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.Job Description Primary DutiesProvide release train engineer support services including, but not limited to, coordinating the teams from a product standpoint to help ensure that multiple teams working on the same release product and features plan and execute as a single release train, identifying and managing risks, facilitating release planning meetings, supporting the scrum of scrums, and resolving and escalating impedimentsFacilitates ART level ceremonies such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Sprint Demos, Inspect and AdaptCoach team members and other stakeholders in SAFe and Agile practices, as neededWork with management to ensure smooth rollout of SAFe to the organization, including providing input and direction to help establish department standards and proceduresEnsure that all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope and within budgetAssist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityDevelop a comprehensive project plan to monitor and track progress while also keeping clients and staff aware of key milestonesManage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesMeasure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniquesReport and elevate to management as neededManage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholdersPerform risk management to minimize potential risksEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendorsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationMeet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each projectDelegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levelsTrack project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goalsMeet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysisUse and continually develop leadership skillsPerform other related duties as assignedDevelop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needsAssist Engagement Manager with status reporting as required by the S4 Technology Team leadershipRespond proactively to both business and program issues and escalates appropriatelyRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience working in supporting multiple software projects in various IT roles5+ years of Program Management or RTE experienceA solid knowledge and understanding of functionality within Deloitte SWIFT applications preferredMust have in-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles including Agile development and testing; SAFe Agile PreferredFamiliarity with SharePoint, S4 HANA, MS Project, ServiceNow, Azure Dev Ops, MS PowerPoint, MS ExcelPrior experience that demonstrates good business understanding (experience in a professional services organization is a plus)Demonstrated ability in applying repeatable processes and methods to enterprise wide technology projects or initiativesExcellent written and verbal communications, organization, analytical, planning and leadership skillsStrong management, communication, technical and remote collaboration skill are a mustExperience in dealing with multiple projects and cross‑functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environmentAbility to effectively conduct detailed discussions directly with Project/Product managementExcellent team collaboration skillsExperience collaborating with global teamsStrong relationship building and maintaining skills.
