Minimum of 5 years of experience in Code development, preferably in ASIC or automation‑related environments. Advanced proficiency in Java programming and object‑oriented design principles. Proficiency with Python in a production environment. Proficiency with Make in a production environment. Strong Customer Focus Strong expertise in Linux operating systems and bash scripting. Hands‑on experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment. Proficiency in Java unit testing frameworks and best practices. Solid understanding of Git for version control and collaboration. Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with cross‑functional teams. Nice To Haves Experience with Bitbucket for source code collaboration. The annual salary range for this position is $109,000 - $174,000 CAD. Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non‑Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
